This Beaver Creek wedding has us swooning for warm summer days filled with wildflowers. It rained on their mountain wedding day but I think you’ll agree that it just makes everything more dramatic. Emotion was as heightened as the breathtaking beauty of the Rocky Mountains.

Brooke and Andrew were a dream couple to work for. Their love was undeniable and their kindness was instantaneous. I’m so grateful they received the mountain wedding of their dreams.

I was laughing pretty hard during one of the wedding speeches when the groomsman was talking about someone who could keep up with Craig. I was laughing because we had a hard time keeping up with both Lauren and Craig. These two can hike, like seriously hike!

And I get the impression that they don’t half-do anything else in life either. It’s what makes them so fun to witness and be around. We loved watching them embrace the crazy wedding day weather without letting it impact a thing.

As we drove up the mountain for some photos and the rain and wind seemed pretty strong, they weren’t worried at all. Something about their attitude made it so that we actually had a perfect weather window as well as colorful aspen trees!

Camp Hale was the perfect venue for these two and their families combining the elegance of a wedding with the joy of nature. Guests branded their own wedding favors and fly-fished during cocktail hour. Then after an epic sunset we danced the night away under the stars.

We’re always encouraging couples to do what feels true to them rather than what they feel like they “should” or are “supposed to.” In Abby and Austyn’s case, they really wanted to head up the mountain for photos, an awesome feature of Camp Hale. However, they really didn’t want to do a first look.

We worked out a perfect solution and did portraits the morning after the wedding. While it severely limited our sleep, we had an absolute blast with them and were rewarded with an epic sunrise. We’ve loved getting to know these two from their adventurous Colorado engagement photos to their beautiful wedding day.

Like marriage. Like love. And definitely like sunrise photos on your wedding day!

Getting to know these two before anyone else was even awake was such a treat. Making them talk while climbing to 11000 feet was sweetly evil. I loved watching their joy to be with each other and their gratitude to be celebrating their love in such a spectacular place.

We changed locations a few times as their wedding day approached because of the snow and mud still lingering around Vail. We were able to experience a fun hike, beautiful views, and even find some wildflowers. These two smiles through it all.
